    Basketweave privacy fence
I am building a six foot basket weave fence. The ground I am putting it on has a substantial dip in the middle of it. How do I put up the fence and make it level without having a large gap at the bottom and still have the top level?

Dirt. Enough to remove the dip? You have to be careful.....some places limit fence size to be 6 feet, and that's above the ground.

If the dip is not to severe and you don't mind having the fence lower then 6 ft. you can start at the lowest point and install a full panel. Then cut the other panels to maintain that height and follow the contour of the ground.

Although it is not abnormal for the panels in a fence to be parallel to each other but not on the same level plane.

If it's only the one dip, then you can extend that section of the fence to the bottom of the dip, with a longer fence panel, while keeping the height the same as the rest of the fence. I have seen many fill in the bottom with stone, aluminum sheets and even railroad ties for a pretty attractive look as an alternative to dirt.
