Level the Posts for Vinyl Privacy Fence
I live in Southern California. I don't have the tools, or physical ability to put in a vinyl fence. The contractors workers told me that they can't make the posts and fence level at the top. I believe that they don't know how or they don't want to take the extra time to make sure the posts are plumb and level. They just don't want to run the plumb line and adjust the posts in the post hole so the posts and subsequently the fence will be level.

It is a 6ft vinyl fence. I have not signed a contract because I've asked them to draw and picture of the gates, the number of terminal posts (with depths) and the number of regular posts. It is a straight dirt 55' run next to a concrete walkway.

Is there a knowledgeable person on-line that knows the answer.

Well does your ground have any roll to it or is it a flat as a pool table. If your yard slopes down the fence must follow that same slope. It either rolls with the ground or each section drops down an inch or two looking like teeth on a saw.

Privacy Fence Replacement [ 4 Answers ]

I saw on a home flipping show that the flipper replaced the fencing with a fence that had the look of wood but was some kind of durable plastic I think. I don't believe it was vinyl. Has anyone ever heard of anything like this? I think it is supposed to be less expensive than vinyl. I would...
