    Can I use schedule 40 PVC to install a soft water system in my home?

    CPVC is normally used for residential plumbing. PVC cannot be used for hot water distribution, it will not withstand the temperature.

    Agree with Harold. Also, I would suggest PEX system with SharkBite fittings that is homeowner's "friendly" material.
