Hampton Bay ceiling fan and light
The ceiling fan works with the remote but the light control does not operate. The lamp is good. What are the dip switch settings and what are some possible fixes

The more recent remote controls do not use dip switches. Find you instructions to reprogram remote. If reprogramming does not work you will need to check the wiring connections for the light. Lots of remotes allow you to also dim the light. That usually means you have to press and hold the button to restore brightness. Read instructions.

Our wall-mounted light switch no longer turns the light on. We have to flip the switch on, then walk over to the remote (in the dark) push the button off, then on again for it to work.
