Aftermarket 50w HIDs scattered /distorted light pattern
I have installed 9004 50w aftermarket HIDs. The light pattern is scattered. It does not throw light straight forward. I've tried with the bulb shield and recently tried another bulb that has the tip of the bulb blackened. Same results. The light is thrown straight for about 10ft against the garage door. Then if I backup the light is scattered or distorted.

Two of the above lights have burnt out in my new kitchen ceiling light that was installed in March 2010. I need lights for 12/25!
The small bulb is impossible to remove. Do I remove the bulb only (not sure how since it won't come out) or is there more to changing a burnt out bulb than I realize w/Hampton tracking lights.
Hi, I'm new Can I install NOMA 3 1/8" recessed 50w halogen light into a ceiling made of 3/4" cedar planking. Will they get too HOT for this application around the pot? I have 12'' of open space above with no insulation. Thank you. Rehnes
