    Noma, recessed 50w halogen lights
    Hi, I'm new

Can I install NOMA 3 1/8" recessed 50w halogen light into a ceiling made of 3/4" cedar planking. Will they get too HOT for this application around the pot? I have 12'' of open space above with no insulation.

    Thank you.

Each manufacturer has their own safety specs. I'd closely read the literature they included for installation. My guess is that it will be OK because air can circulated around and above the fixture.
