    Heat pump is overheating house set at 68 but house is 82
    My thermostat is set at 68 degrees but the house is actually 82 and the heat pump seems to keep running.
    Any recommendations?

    Shut the breaker off. Then check the thermostat, it my need batteries.

    Could be a short in the low voltage wiring or a stuck relay as well.
