    . Check all under dash and under hood fuses with a test light or multi-meter.
    . Replace bulbs, if necessary.
    . Test for power, along the circuit, using a multi-meter. Don't overlook internal bundled wire breaks where trunk lid opens and closes. You may need to cut back the sheathing and probe wires.
    . Check the brake light switch's continuity and adjustment.
