My boyfriend fingered me after he washed his hand with hand sanitizer. My vagina now has a burning sensation. It hurts when I try to pee. Is this from the hand sanitizer or just from him rubbing to hard. It doesn't hurt to pee any more but my vagina still burns. How can I get rid of the burning sensation?

It certainly could be a reaction to sanitizer. You should use a douche to wash out the area.

That is the reaction you get when alcohol comes into contact with a mucus menbrane. You can either wait it out or wash off the affected areas. If will probably still be sore for the next few days, if it isn't then you should see a doctor.

I want to say, great, that you are trying to be careful and watch for sanitation

But, yes, te alcohol base most likely has caused an irritation, and as noted, should go away in a day or two.

If it continues, you need to see the doctor
