    husband is diabetic
Hi. My name is Jill, my husband is diabetic and he takes both novolog and lantus insulins and I was wondering if he eats with in 15 minutes before he is due for his lantus insolin should he take the novolog insolin in addition to the lantis or just the lantus insolin. Any help with this question would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Novolog is fast acting. That means it will bring down his blood sugar quickly. Lantus is long acting, which means it works for a long time. They should never/rarely be taken together.

The best advice you could get would be from his doctor who knows his medical history.
