You need legal advice as a newspaper advert is completely insufficient and unlawful.
This has to go before a judge to be lawful

In most if not all states, a court will require one spouse to pay the other's "suit money" necessary to hire an attorney. Ask an attorney what is possible.

As Curly indicated, one doesn't get divorced by running an ad in the paper; service of process (giving the other party official legal notice that he is being sued), once a lawsuit (for divorce, for example) has been filed is sometimes permitted if the court can be persuaded that there is no other way to serve process upon the other party. But that does't appear to be the situation here.

Also, in many states, an uncontested divorce can be had by filling in forms which may be available from the clerk of court. If your husband will sign such forms, a do-it-yourself divorce may be possible.

Yes, AK is correct. I did that myself in Ontario a long time ago, but then a requirement was first a legal three year separation. The papers or kit was $150. But it still had to be presented before a judge and uncontested.

A newspaper ad can be used to serve notice of you can't find him but not to finalize the divorce. Most states have no fault divorces that are quick and inexpensive.
