New well pump installed and now cold water in shower
HELP! We purchased a new (old) home (built in 1978) and had the water pump replaced on our well 2 days ago. When we got home, we ran the water in all of the sinks/tubs to clear the air and dirt/silt... most of them ran dry!! Well, 2 days later, we still have dirt in the water and now have NO cold water coming out in our shower. Any advice on how to get the cold water back AND how to clear the water will be appreciated. Thanks!

If you're pumping dirt and soil the it sounds like the water table has fallen and dirt has caved in. Did you install this yourself or did a pump company do it? Let me know, Tom

We had a pump company install the WELL PUMP (not water pump, sorry!). I ran the water for at least 30 minutes and was still getting dirt/sand in the bathtub. And our second issue is the fact that we can't get any cold water to come out of the shower in the other bathroom (all the rest of the cold water throughout the house runs fine).

I suggest you call the well man back. He may have set the pump to low. Should have run the pump until water was clear after installation.
