    Oil color and smoke
I have an 03 CBR 600RR and got an oil change about two weeks ago and had a new tire put on a couple days ago. Since the oil change I have noticed an odd smell coming from the bike like burning oil. Tonight sitting at a light I noticed smoke coming from the bike and upon inspection there seems to be some residual oil around the filter and on the headers. I assume this is what it causing the smoke? If so is there any reason for concern? Also while I noticed that I decided to check the oil levels through the glass and the level seems to be fine but the color looks just as dark as it did before I had the oil changed. Should I be concerned about this?

I haven't seen it so I can't say for sure but here is how I would approach it...if it didn't do it before the oil change but it does now, then I would consider the oil change is what caused it. I would clean the oil off where you see it. I might also consider changing the oil again although it is pretty common for oil to get dark again pretty quick, especially if it had been really dirty before the change...but I wouldn't take the chance.
