    Carrier Thermidistat
    Our thermostat is not working right and we need to replace it. How do we get it off the wall?

    Generally thermostats just lift off the base plate, which are screwed into the wall.

    X2. That's the only way I have seen. With older units you would lift off a cover ring. Newer units snap together with a control module and a base plate.
