    Carrier thermidistat
I installed a godman gas two stage multi speed furnace and kept a tempstar single speed heat pump. Can I also keep the carrier thermidistat tstat also? I am confused on how to wire the tstat and furnace. I actually took out a boiler that worked with the heat pump so I am not sure where to start or if I should buy new stat. It was $150 so I hate to lose it. I have wiring diagrams but they don't match colors. Thanks for any help.:confused:

You will have to see if the Goodman two stage unit can be operated with a system that actually needs a three stage thermostat. Your heat pump will be one stage and the furnace will add two more stages for a total of three. Right now you probably only have a two stage thermostat at the most. Some Goodman units can have there stages combined or internally staged on the circuit board.

Now I know all the brand and model numbers are top secret so I will not ask for them. All of this info should be in your Goodman install instructions.
