First - how old are you, how old is he, and how long have you been in the relationship?

14 is pretty young for a movie after only 4 weeks. It can be a 'good' place to first do a little bit more than hold hands, such as a quick kiss, because you are limited by how much you can do sitting next to each other. IF you are ready for that. And who knows, maybe he just wants to sit next to you and watch the movie! You should have a sense of that by now, and if you don't, cancel the movie date and substitute something else, such as a daytime walk around a park.

If you do go, t's easy enough for you to put a stop to long kisses or touching you anywhere but your arms and putting an arm around your neck (something I always found uncomfortable in a movie). Just take his hand away from your leg or any other part you don't want touched - he'll get the message, and if he tries again, whisper NO loudly. I know at your age that you sort of feel like you just react to what happens in life, but it's a good time to start asserting yourself as a girl with a guy, and as a person in general. Afterwards you can talk about your feelings about moving more slowly in the relationship. If you don't want to do anything but hold hands, say so when you first sit down.

Do your parents know him, and approve of this date? You can enjoy this movie better with him if they do. Its no different than a movie with your best friend, and they do know your friends I bet.
