Sudden water pressure drop, slow recovery, well system
If water is consumed too rapidly, such as an outside spigot or filling the bathtub we will have water pressure drop throughout the house after approx 20 seconds. The pressure will drop to about 15-18 PSI at the pressure bladder. Once it's shutoff it recovers after another 30-40 seconds. According to other videos the pressure bladder appears to be functioning properly, seems to have the proper amounts of air and water. We replaced the pressure bladder pressure switch and still have the same issues. Pulled the well pump and one leg of the electrical was not connected. We corrected that connection but it didn't resolve the problem.

How old is your house? What kind of pipes do you have? Galvanized, copper, or plastic? When the pump shuts off what does the gage read ? Any more information? Back to you, Tom

So when you use a lot of water, you are pulling the pressure down to 15 psi or so. When water is turned off, it recovers within 30 or 40 seconds. Does that mean that it gets up to cut off pressure and the pump turns off?

How large is the pressure tank?

Not sure how the pump could run with one wire not connected. Really strange.
