How cheap are you?
Your cable company has them for a monthly fee... you can buy a TIVO and pay them a monthly fee or a really big one time fee...
If you are really cheap and technically gifted.. you could build one.
There are other options... at least there were... they they are difficult to find now. DVD recorders that use rewritable DVD discs with built in tuners. The standalones with Hard drives and TV TUners are rare and hard to find....except the TIVOS which require a subscription.

Personally... my recommendation is the cable TV DVR... if would take more than a year or two to break even if you buy one outright (maybe 4 or 5 years with the TIVO)... and if it breaks you get to start all over again... the cable one you trade in for the next better one... and if it breaks... they replace it. IF you have cable.
I've had a DVD recorder for years... and built my own recorder/media player setup... but that's beyond the average persons ability. It was a bit of a PITA to get it working right... and still has bugs. Its beyond my wifes ability to even use it.

I see you edited after I posted... Specific brands will be different as I am in the USA... and I am unfamiliar with what you might have available. The cheap ones on ebay from China work...just not very well. Not worth the price...even if it is low. First hand experience.

Try Walmart online. But be prepared for sticker shock. They are very difficult to find but one company that I know of makes them. Has digital tuner, timer, HD etc.

I am not in your country, but I just went down to a local electronics store, told them what I wanted. And they laid about 6 different ones out.
Most areas unless very remote should have electronic stores. I always buy mine at the little mom and pop stores, since most will also do home service. So I do not have to try and figure out language issues in instructions.
