    Elec Dryer No Heat
Just moved to the new house and the Kenmore Elec dryer won't heat up but does run... Ran before the move.. The old tent was drying cloths in theirs still before they got their dryer out.. It was the last thing they took.. Theirs worked fine so I'm really sure the outlet is good.. One other thing the old wire I had was pretty well shot was a fraid of a short so I bought a replacement 3 wire.. I know that the two outer (black and red are live) and the white center is neutral.. So I have that wired right.. Just don't know what could be making it mess up...

Its about 4 years old I think..

Don't really know too much about volt meters with the nine volt inside of it.. But I do have one.. So directions on how to set it before using it will be very well apreciated..

Btw I don't know if this makes much of diff but one of my old screws for the wire was striped so I replaced the screw and nut with one I had out the tool box.. but I don't believe that will be the problem.. I'm a computer tech not much more then that but for riggin crap to work...

    Thx
    Tim

Sounds like your not familiar about testing electrical circuitry. Better find someone that could help you before you electrocute yourself!
I'm not being mean, but some people attempt too much and get seriously hurt!

Hi, our kenmore 417 elec dryer only works on the high heat setting. I don't think it has full heat even at that setting. The vent is clean and open. Could it possibly be the thermal limiter? Thanks
