    Pregnancy from vasectomy or withdrawal?
Hello, I had sex with a man who had a vasectomy 10+ years ago 5 days after my period. I was with someone else 6 days later during my supposed fertile time and we only used the withdrawal method. The withdrawal method has been my only form of birth control for the last four years. The man I was with who had the vasectomy was a one time occurrence. I am now pregnant. Who is likely to be the father?

Apparently you have been trying to get pregnant the last 4 years.. Withdrawl isn't a form of birth control. The prefluids that leak from the penis carry some sperm and can result in it from the moment he first insterts himself. THe fact you got away with it 4 years is either good luck..or bad luck depending on what you was after.

You are only taking guy "A"s word on the vasectomy... get a DNA test done after the child birth, because there is no assuming who the father is from the results.

Having some woman come up to me saying I owe support because I am "Likely" the father doesn't cut it... I would want DNA tests to prove it... and so will the court if you go after support.

And the father has the right to know if its really his or not... positively... not just he's the most likely.

I am 100% certain that guy A had a vasectomy. He is in the process now of having his semen checked for sperm. I had a prenatal noninvasive paternity test done with DNA samples from guy B and the test results came back in his favor.

Also, as for using the withdrawal method, I was in a committed relationship where we weren't really trying to get pregnant but would be ok with it.
I know what you are trying to say... but guys lie... and even if he claims his tests come back negative.. you are still taking his word for it... and for the sake of the child... and making the right guy responsible... get the DNA test done. THrough a court... those results are not open to being constested or doubted.

For reasons of family medical history... and issues that can be inherited... you really need to know for certain who the biological father is.

Pregnancy after Vasectomy [ 1 Answers ]

My husband had a vasectomy in 2003. Are there ways to get pregnant (with my husband's sperm) after a vasectomy WITHOUT going through the reversal process? What I mean is is there a way to extract sperm, albeit weak, from a man to be implanted into a woman? Or, is the vasectomy reversal required?
