60's or 70's film with a cave scene with 100's of alien pods
There was a creepy movie in the late 60's or early 70's that was on TV that had a scene at the end where the people go into a cave and find 100's of alien pods(they seemed to remind me of freaky penguins at the time). The soundtrack was really haunting with a strange sound to it every time the aliens were around. I can't find the movie in any of my searches and hope someone else remembers it.

This was a movie where cave explorers found an underground series of moving tunnels and mazes. Most of them were killed by the sliding walls and floors of the maze. This was not The Cave but a similar movie.
