There was a creepy movie in the late 60's or early 70's that was on TV that had a scene at the end where the people go into a cave and find 100's of alien pods(they seemed to remind me of freaky penguins at the time). The soundtrack was really haunting with a strange sound to it every time the aliens were around. I can't find the movie in any of my searches and hope someone else remembers it.
