Kemore Elite Heats but takes two cycles to dry
    Hi,

My dryer seams to heat up, but it takes at least two cycles to dry a load of cloths, I have cleaned the vent hose out and still no luck any suggestions.

How old is it? After a while the heating coils just don't get as hot as they used to. Or is it newer and has always taken 2 cycles to dry?

Hmm, well if the dryer has a panel on the back that can be removed maybe see if there is a buildup of dust or something but I really think the coil is dying, an electric dryer has a coil that heats up basically like a toaster. After a while this coil makes less and less heat and eventually dies, which is also how a toaster dies!

You might consider getting a quote on replacing the coil, it should be a lot less expensive than replacing the dryer, but more expensive than a toaster

    Mmm... toast

Ok, I'll try that and let you know what I find, or maybe not, depends on what I find:D , hopefully not toast. Thanks

I hate to suggest something so basic, but have you cleaned the lint screen? Heating elements continue to put out there full rated watts until they burn out. They can get dirty. You can also have one burn out leaving the rest taking linger to do the job.
