How do I wire my light?
I have an existing circuit that's made up of a light switch and a power outlet. I'd like to run a light into the circuit, but I can't figure out how to do it and still have the outlet work. The power runs into the switch, to the outlet, then to ground.

    Help me please.

Is the source power feed into the switch and then from the switch to the receptacle outlet? Or is the power feed go to the receptacle where it is connected to the switch to control the receptacle?

Is there an existing light that is controlled by the switch or does the switch control the receptacle where a light is plugged into very common configuration)

The power (usually a black wire) will connect to one side of the switch. The other side of the switch will run up to the new light. The neutral (white wire) returning from the light will connect to white wires from power source and power outlet.

If the power outlet is to be always ON, connect black wire to power source black.

If the power outlet is only on with switch(same time as new light), connect black wire from outlet to other side of switch (side going to new light).
