    Frozen Pipes
The pipes in my kitchen recently froze. The plumber mentioned the fact that the way the pipes were laid had to do with the freezing. They are on the outside of the house. However, there was also apparently a clog in the garbage disposal, but water was still draining. I guess my question is, can a clog in the drain be the cause of pipes freezing?

A drain trap can freeze but normally it's the supply pipes. Which froze?
