Wiring for Fasco B2451 wall heater fan motor
I am trying to wire a new fan motor on my Fasco wall heater. The model # for the fan is b2451. The fan is a c-frame fan motor, 52 amps, 1260 rpm, 240 v, k101.
The motor looks identical to the old fan motor, except the old model only had two black wires. One wire went to the on-off switch and the other went down near the heating coils. The new motor has 3 wires, one red, one black and one white. They end together in a plastic insert piece. The old wires ended separately with a metal tip that attached to a prong near other wiring also attached to prongs.

Can I use this new motor in the old wall heater with the existing wiring system? If so, where do the wires go? Can I splice them so they attach to the existing prongs? Where specifically does each wire go? I have 3 wires on the new motor and only 2 places to attach them. Is this new fan the wrong voltage (240) for my old wall heater?

    I sure hope it's not 52 amps!

I saw that too. Just presumed it to be 0.52. A 52amp/240v fan motor would move a BUNCH of air. Could but that thing on an airboat. :D
