    Noise from heating vents
    I have a ranch w/a basement and my heating vents make noise. Sometimes it is very loud. What causes that.

    Is it a furnace or a boiler circulation hot water or steam.

    If you know how to remove the filter try that. A clogged filter can cause vibration.

    Does the noise happen when the can comes on or shortly thereafter? Does it happen soon after the fan shuts off? Is it continuous while the fan is running?
    Answers to these questions may help us narrow down what is going on.
