    the value of a children's book from 1956
    I have a book which is Bennie the bear who grew too fast. It was written by Beatrice and Ferrin Fraser.The book was written in 1956 it is a children's book.I have a copy signed by rhe author.I was curious to know if anyone has any information regarding t he value of this book

    Check with a reference librarian or on eBay.

    You will need to take it to a book collector/appraiser. Only someone who can authenticate the author's signature and evaluate the condition of the book will be able to give you an accurate appraisal of its value.

    Books lose value very quickly (even those that are first editions and signed by the author) if they show a lot wear and tear. Also some authors are more collectable than others. This is why you need to contact someone who actually deals in collectable/'old' books.
