    How long before first period?
I had my baby on Dec 3rd and have not had my period. I get blotches and every now and then 1 day of very light faint blood but that is it. Is it normal or should I get it checked out?

It may take a while for your hormones to straighten out. If you are breastfeeding you may not get a period until you stop nursing.

I agree with what J9 said. After 40 weeks of your hormones being in baby making over drive, it takes a while for them to get back to normal. If you are breastfeeding, you may not even have a full period until you ween your baby. Some women start right away, and some don't. Just depends. Just make sure that you are using proper birth control methods, as it is very easy to conceive again right after having baby. Just because you don't get a full period, doesn't mean you aren't ovulating. So just be extra careful. Congrats on baby!
