    No heat and igniter keeps trying to relight pilot light, 58ssB060=cc,S100 carrier
    I just had this house given to me and found out that it constantly floods in the basement. I replaced the sump pump and found that the water heater was damaged and furnace was damaged as well. So I replaced both the water heater and the furnace blower motor because neither were working. Then I realized that the circuit board on my furnace had fried. So I investigated the board and soldered a heavy duty wire from one section to the other section of the circuitboard. Then I took the circuitboard to a computer tech and ask if this would work theoretically, before I tested it, he hooked up a voltage meter and said that it should work. So I tried it and it works. The heater works, but now I have no hot air flowing out of the heater. So I took a video of the furnace trying to light, and it kept trying to relight after it was already lit. The gas was going through all of the burners but it was not heating up. The blower was running the gas is flowing through the burners and it was not heating. After about five or 10 minutes the furnace would try to relight itself, constantly, and you would hear a ticking sound in the igniter box. I took the flame rod off and cleaned it with a dollar bill and put it back on. That didn't have any effect, but I still hear kind of a clicking sound and the igniter. I took this video to peters heating and air-conditioning and they told me it could be either the flame rod or the ignitor box. At the moment I can't afford to go and pay a technician service fee that it cost to come and tell me what it is, one of the other. I know one part is about $25-$30 and the other part is about $150. So I'm trying to go the cheapest route, obviously. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

    Try cleaning the flame rod again with a scotch brite pad or fine steel wool. Also make sure all your ground connections are clean & tight. The only bad flame rods I've ever seen were broken.
