    Kirby Sentria Vacuum won't work
My mom spent 2K on a Kirby Sentria vacuum a few years ago. (sigh... )

We haven't used it in a while--it had a broken belt.

I just finally figured out how to put a new belt on (thanks YouTube!) and I plugged it in and tried to turn it on. Still won't work. Doesn't even recognize that it's got power. Just does nothing.

I can't afford the vacuum cleaner hospital. What should I look at next??

    Thanks!

Look for an overload. Likely it has tripped. Follow wire in until you find it. Then reset it.

Thanks, but I thought of that--so I plugged it in to the same power strip that the TV is plugged into (and the TV was on/stayed on). Still nothing?

Check the cord connection and make sure power is to the vac. Consumers Report has a number of inexpensive good rated vacs. One of them, a Hoover was less than $100. Try to sell the Kirby on Craigslist. (Sigh for sure)
