    Tampon Broke Toilet
I am renting with male roommates. Previous tenants were all women, they moved out last May. Our toilet pump had a tampon stuck around it. Could this have been flushed months ago and just now causing problems?

Its possible but I say the odds are low... have any of your male roomates brought a female into the home who might have done it?

Ejector pumps are not designed for sanitary product removal. It could have been there for a while and now just got caught as it decomposed.

I broke the flange under my toilet... [ 13 Answers ]

The bolts rusted, and broke on my toilet -- so it slid around and broke the seal. I went to the hardware store to buy a wax ring, and ended up with a rubber boot that said it was "easier and less mess". I put it on the toilet, tightened it too much and cracked the flange on both sides. It's a...

Toilet Shut off Valve Broke off! [ 2 Answers ]

I dropped my hairdryer and it hit the toilet shut off valve. The oval shapped valve broke off - it looked like it was connected by plastic and some putty - probably some patch up job from the previous homeowner. Is it easy to replace just the knob?

Flush lever on toilet broke [ 2 Answers ]

When I went to flush my toilet my flush lever broke right off. The part that connects it to the flush valve is still attached, it is just the handle that snapped right off. I noticed that these parts are VERY inexpensive. My question is, how easy are they to replace? I would hate to call...
