Intermittent hot water in downstairs toilet basin
    Hi,

I moved into my house about 6 months ago and had a problem with the hot water in the downstairs toilet at times there would be no water at all, so I changed the tap for a new one this appeared to fix the problem, unfortunately it has reappeared.

Sometimes there will be no hot water at all and others the flow is fine, I have also had hot water coming out of the cold tap on this sink. I am at a loss as what to do now. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    Dave

Close one of the stop valves (either hot or cold) to the washer and see what happens.
