    Crate Training
I just bought a Labrador puppy (7weeks) I am trying to crate train him but he has no issues crapping and peeing and then sleeping in it. Will he out grow this? What can Ido?

Likely you have a puppy that was abused by being shut up too long and forced to live in its filth. Such cases are tough to straighten out. Start by never leaving it in the crate more than 4-5 hours, and less is better. In the sticky, https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/dogs/i...tml#post251802 there are instructions on using a grid. A grid makes coping with urine easier, but doesn't end the problem.

Unfortunately, many puppymill breeders adhere to the practice of keeping their dogs locked up in crates 24/7. If you have never seen it done, take it from me, it is quite a disgusting sight. If you purchased your puppy from a pet store, the likelihood of this being the case is very high. Please follow labman's advice. If your dog was abused in this way, it may take a very long time to undo this "training". Please be patient with him.

Ok, my friend has a 5 month-old min-pin, she got him from someone who got exasperated with trying to house-train him because he kept peeing and pooping in his crate.
