My two boys live with their mothers and I do not particapate in their lives by the mother's and my choice. Because they both have boyfriends that treat my boys like there own, They're happy. I live in Florida/Brevard county, I just finished my high school and I have my DIPLOMA and I am proud of that. My age is 31. I can not afford back child support that they just filled for so they want to go back to when they were born. Then the money I receive for working they will take. Then if I do not pay I go to jail and that would break my probation. HELP!

You cannot give up your parental rights unless someone else wishes to adopt your child, and the mother agrees to that adoption. You fathered these children, and it's your responsibility to help support them. If men could give up their parental rights to avoid paying child support, most men would do that. That's why it's not an option, and thank goodness for that. Women take on much of the responsibility as is. You definitely want a fathers rights advocate. Your worry is a concern because Judges do seem to rule that you pay over half of your income to child support leaving you with a couple hundred for you to live on, especially when going for back support.

There is this myth that a parent can just give up their rights to a child. But its only a myth. Only a court can terminate parental rights and courts are very reluctant to do so. They will not do so, just to let the parent out of paying support.

Is there a current support order? If so are you up to date on that?

Doesn't seem to be because mothers said they are going and filing for CS all the way back to birth. They can only go back as far as birth if the sons are under 2.
