How to rehook solenoid on Murray Lawnmower
I have a Murray Riding Lawn Mower. It was given to me and it won't start. They replaced solenoid and wanted to make sure how it is supposed to be hooked up. The model # is 52100x92a

A solenoid is just a switch, an electromagnetic switch and will work either way. You connect starter wire to one of the large posts and the battery lead to the other large post. There should be a small connection on the side and the hot wire from the ignition goes there. When ignition is turned to "start" it energizes the switch with 12-V and the two posts are internaly connected.
