    Set-rite
We are putting in a tile floor in our bathroom and need to raise the flange approx. 2 1/2 inches to seat the toilet.

The original flange is not level and in poor condition.

Subfloor is concrete, will be topped with sleepers, plywood, hardie backboard, tile.

Any recommendations on the best way to accomplish this?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi RBT

If the existing flange, "is not level and in poor condition" then the SET-RITE flange extension kit will not work well for you.

Your ultimate best bet, especially considering that the floor will be built up and you really won't know if things are leaking under the new floor (until odors develop), is to break up a little of the concrete around the PVC pipe, use an INSIDE PIPE CUTTER (see image) to cut out the old flange, add a PVC coupling and extend the pipe/flange to the correct height.

It is a little work, but worth every minute of your time for the peace of mind it will give you... ;)
