    Kenmore Series 600 Dryer
So to start, we are having no problems actually drying our clothes - they come out dry as usual. The problem that concerns me is the new noise it is making. About two minutes after I turn it on, it starts making a loud electrical buzzer type noise from the back - almost like what our dishwasher does to tell us it is done, but with a more "something electrically is wrong with this" sound to it. It will do it on and off throughout the dry cycle, which makes me think it is the hearing element or something like that. So my question is - is it safe to operate like this? Should we keep using it and wait for whatever it is to fail? We have two small kids and lots of laundry but also don't want to put our family in danger. Any help or ideas would be great.
