My friend is a registered sex offender in CT. He violated his probation by using the internet and associating with other known criminals. He admitted to violating. His bond is $150,000. His original sentence was 12 years suspended after five and 10 years probation, and five years served concurrently. He goes to court next next. How likely is it he will have to serve out the suspended sentence? Might he get extended probation? What usually happens in CT? Thank you.

No one can guess what a judge will do, but I would say he will go back to prison, for how long is hard to say

Although I know NONE of the details, from your description, it sounds like he was a serious sex offender the first time around, and it sounds like he's doing it again. I think they're going to slam him good.

Hopefully he will get put away for a very long time. He knew the conditions of his probation, yet he chose to ignore them.
