John deere mower problems
Working on my fathers john deere lawn mower model 175 hydro with a kawasaki eng. FC420V061549 . Curently it will not start I have checked to see if it has fire to the plug, I put a screw driver in spark plug wire and place it close to a metal ground it has a very little arcing and with the spark plug it won't arc at all even with a new plug. I have also replaced the coil with no change. Any help would be appreciate.

Hi,
Do you have the one piece ignition or the two piece ignition with an igniter(little silver rectangular piece on right side of engine)? My guess is the latter and the igniter must be replaced(it fails more often tan the coil.) An even bettet solution is to replace the two piece with the one piece if you have a newer engine(you did not furnish the numbers to tell - ?S01) Peace, Clarke |

I've replaced the belt - twice... it's corrected threaded on the pulleys however after 5 minutes use the belt frays/shreds. Is there a tension adjustment that I need to adjust?
My John Deere L120 mower has a problem going up embankments or even slight hills. I have replaced both mower belt and drive belt and the two plastic pulleys. It still "won't hardly pull itself" up a grade. Is the problem in the rear end or is there an adjustment on the differential?
John Deere 160, Kawasaki engine. I bought it 3 days ago. The only problem I have is the engine surges wildly after it warms up. I spayed the carb with carb & choke cleaner but that didn't work. I am hoping to find a simple fix for this. If I can't, then I will take it to a repair shop.
I have a John Deere mower model JS40.. After running about 15 min if you stop the mower to empty the grass catcher it is extremely hard to start again. The enginge acts like it has a brake on it and is very hard to pull. On occasion the engine will actually not turn at all with the rope pull....
