    Is a multi outlet considered an extension cord if it uses the center screw?
    I know that the multi styles that just plug into the outlet without mechanical attachment screw are considered an extension cord. With the screw in type in the center plate hole is it still considered an extension cord?

    Yes, the strain relief for the cord just prevents it from being pulled out of the receptacle.
