    Can a minor's father change there last name?
    My son wants to change his minor daughters last name to his. He was not married to the mother at the time of birth and is not now. He is on the birth certificate.

    It would be up to the mother.

    The father would have to go to court and petition for a name change. If the mother objects its unlikely to happen.
