Basically, me and my boyfriend of 4 years broke up a month ago but we have both been constantly thinking about each other and missing each other. We both went to india for a few weeks with our own families and when he got back from india, he broke up with me. It broke my heart and the pain was horrible, I just felt so hollow and empty inside. Few weeks later he explained to me how when he went to india he met all of his cousins that he had never met and told me we just can never get married because he is a knanaya catholic and I am a non-knanaya RC (We are both roman catholic christians, except his is a knanaya - their traditions state that they can only get married to each other, within their community, its frowned upon if they marry out of kna). My boyfriend isn't really into all these traditions and he doesn't even care about kna, he only cares about his parents and he doesn't want to hurt them. He tells me he doesn't want to upset his parents and he got caught oneday talking on the phone to me and he had to tell his dad about me and that I was non-kna and his dad dissapproved. We both recently met up and the whole day we spent together, it just showed hoe much we still love each other, I just can't imagine being without him or I just cannot imagine any other boy taking his place in my life, it hurts even thinking that. He poured his heart out to me that day, telling me how much he loves me and it hurts him a lot that he hugs his pillow every night thinking its me. It kills me knowing that he's been put in the middle of all of this and the pain he must also be going through... I just don't know what to do :(

How old are you both? Are his parents devote or did this trip get them started?
