    Dog swallowed whole chew bone
    My dog swallowed a whole chew bone and is he whining and won't eat orat drink and has not gone to the bathroom. He just eants to lay by me

    The big risk in a situation like this is intestinal blockage. You'll need to be on the lookout for vomiting, diarrhea, not wanting to eat, lethargy, discomfort or pain in the abdominal area.
    If he is having any of these symptoms get him in to see the vet pronto, the sooner you have it attended too the better your pet will be for it.

    Here's a little more info on it, it is fairly common in dogs they don't discriminate about what they eat or the manner in which they eat it.

    The dog needs to see a Vet - if it's a blockage and it's been going on (when did he swallow the bone?) there is no time to debate this.
