    My dog swallowed a bone
    My dog swallowed a pork chop bone whole I didn't give it her, will it pass she is OK in herself no blood or anything

    Ouch. I assume you don't mean the little round one.
    She might digest it partially and/or throw it up in a few hours. Dogs intestines are faster digesting, and a much straighter line than humans, and are meant for meat and bone difficulty, but there is a risk of choking (early) and puncture (part way through) and blockage (at the end)!
    I'm not trying to joke about it, and you do need to keep a sharp eye on her every minute.
    And of course make sure it doesn't happen again.

My dog swallowed a pork bone that I thought was too big too swallow. She seemed to have no trouble swallowing it. Five hours later she threw up everything she ate after the bone. The bone was round in shape. She seems OK otherwise. Any advice? It is Christmas day.

My 2 lab/beagle (who is probably part goat as he eats anything that he can get his paws on) swallowed a cooked pork bone. I am giving him a lot of water as well as the cotton ball treatment, but I am wondering if I should give him anything to soften his stool or accelerate the pooping?
