Liberty 41A Sewage Pump won't shut off
    Hi,

Just installed a new Liberty 41A ejector pump replacing old one that died. Before sealing the pit I hooked it up; it discharges fine, but then won't shut off after water in pit gets down to 6 inches. Plenty of room for float switch. The pump keeps spewing from air bleed hole, but manual says this is normal. None of the trouble shooting tips worked.

Any ideas? What have I done wrong?

    Thanks

Is the float dropping as far as possible? Does it shut off if you push it down farther?

Are you sure you aren't plugging the pump directly in without plugging it into the float first?
