    Sewage pump won't eject?
My water ace pump got jammed with a piece of plastic. I took it apart, cleared the obstruction and put it back together. The motor runs and grinds but will not eject.
I took it outside and put it in a tub of water. I plugged it in and it did the same thing for about 10 seconds and then it shot water 30 feet into the air.
I brought it back inside and hooked it back up and it just runs and grinds but does not eject.
Anybody got any ideas? Could my check valve be blocked? Wouldn't it just blow water everywhere at my union?

Until it worked outside I was thinking a faulty impeller but if it worked outside and not in the pit the only two things that could cause this problem is a clog in the discharge line or a blocked check valve. My bet's on the check valve. Either unclog it or replace it. Good luck, Tom

Can a check valve be cleared or do I need to cut it out and put in a new one?

Yes they can, it's a simple flapper device, ( unless it's spring loaded). However you might have to cut it out to clean it. Good luck. Tom
