No... employment is at will since you obviously didn't have a ironclad contract... if you got money to waste on a Lawyer looking for free money.. you were being overpaid.

My advice... get over it.. and move on. Your next job might be better than your last one. You are bound to find someone that doesn't like you wherever you go.

No, you can't sue for stress, or anxiety. If that were the case, the court system would be over run with such cases. Stress and anxiety are part of every day life, you have to learn to deal with it, and you can't sue because you feel this way.

As for the lies and losing your job, can you prove that this person lied? Can you prove the truth? Can you also prove that the lies were the reason you were fired? What reason was given for firing you?

Bottom line, anyone can sue, that's your right. The question isn't if you can sue, it's if you can win should you choose to sue. From the very little info you posted, I'd say no, you can't.

If you can prove that it is first a lie, and also prove that was the reason you lost your job, you may sue for the income you lost. You are so vague that there is no way to know if there is a case or not. What type of lie, why would a company not merely allow you to prove it is not a lie. When you showed company proof that it was a lie, why did they still fire you.

What proof do you have that this is why they fired you. Not what you think, but what paper evidence , what witness can prove this all in court
