    Bipolar 28 month old?
    I have a 28 Month old toddler. I would like to knoe if my child could have a [HTML](BIPOLAR DISORDER). Here are the ways he acts 1 is crying,2 is angry,3 is slappes his self in the head and bangs his head on the floor, chair anything if he does not get what he wants are he will just come out the blue and start. Could you brief me alil on what the cause of his problem.

    He's a little too young for Bipolar Disorder. Why the severe diagnosis?

    Sounds more like the terrible twos and a spoiled toddler.

    He is adopted and the mother of the child is bipolar and has a little special problem to as in retarded so is the father they both got it I want to know can he have the bipolar part

    He could, but not this early.

    If you are concerned about this, take him to his pediatrician and explain your concerns.

    However, it sounds like a spoiled toddler experiencing the terrible twos.

    Well I done talked it over with his doctor he wants to try him on some medicne I don't really appove of that what should I do let them try him on it are ride it out and see what the out come is

    He's too young for medication. Get a second opinion.

    I don't blame you for being hesitant about medication!
    If you can get to a university medical center, they usually have more specialists who can spend the time needed to get an accurate diagnosis (if there is one).
    He may need a quiet and structured environment without a lot of stimuli more than drugs at this stage. If he is retarded or autistic, you need to know as soon as possible. You really need a specialist.
    It would be even more helpful of the parents could be re-evaluated too.

    The head-banging could be a sign of autism. Let the doctor know about these behaviors and what triggers them.
