    Craftsman weedeater manual 368791030
Weedeater model 368791030 will run as long you have the choke engaged, but when I use the throtle it quits running as if it is not getting gas. Should I check the carburater for dirt?
    Thanks for your help,
    Joe Thomas

    Hi,
The most probable culprit is the inlet screen in the carb. WeedEater is the only manufacturer that specifies a dutch twill screen, which is highly restrictive and readily clogged. Oddly enough you cannot buy it, only the normal replacement, which is a good thing. Other possibilities are the fuel filter or the diaphrgms, but the screen has a 90% chance of being it.
    Peace,
    Clarke

My craftsman weedeater won't start. I have changed the spark plug, put all new fuel mixture, and placed the choke lever in the OFF CHOKE position; then pulled the rope to clear the engine of excess fuel.
